Drop & Go Program
Setting boundaries to safeguard participants and keep everyone safe!
Drop & Go Program
Our after-school programs are ‘Drop & Go’ Programs. Our friendly staff will greet your athlete at your venue’s front door. Your athlete will wave goodbye to you & we will take them into flip, fly & to have fun!
At the conclusion of their session, we will bring them back to the front door for you to collect.
If your child requires your presence / assistance during their session – please reach out to Emma via phone – 0428990819 or email – palmerstumbletots@gmail.com to discuss.
Why we continue with a No Spectator approach:
Our no spectator policy was originally introduced during Covid. However, over time we’ve seen the significant and lasting benefits it provides for our athletes. Creating a space where children can learn independently allows them to focus, feel safe, build confidence and receive the highest quality coaching.
We remain committed to sharing your child’s progress through our “Watch Me Flip & Fly” viewing week once per term, so families can celebrate growth and achievements together.
Emotional & Social Development
Drop-off classes help children:
- Build independence and self-confidence
- Learn to self-regulate emotions without relying on parent reassurance
- Develop trust in their coaches and the learning environment
- Settle more quickly when routines and expectations are consistent
Emotional Safety
A no-spectator environment can:
- Reduce performance pressure or anxiety
- Help children feel less judged while learning new skills
- Encourage children to make mistakes freely (essential for learning)
- Support shy or nervous gymnasts to participate more confidently
Coaching Quality & Consistency
Without spectators:
- One clear coaching voice improves focus and skill progression
- Children aren’t torn between parent / carer and coach cues
- Coaches can manage behaviour calmly and consistently
- Stronger coach–athlete relationships are formed
More Meaningful Viewing Experiences
When viewing is intentional:
- Progress and independence are easier to see
- Confidence is more genuine
- Viewing weeks feel more special and rewarding rather than routine
Ultimately, this approach allows athletes to thrive in their own space, building confidence, resilience and a love of learning that extends far beyond the gym.
